Every time minecraft has an update, builders out there will cross there fingers hoping for a new building option. A new block, a new function, anything. The Fancy Fences mod adds a variety of new walls/fences into the game. Things such as: Cobblestone walls, Sandstone, brick, etc etc. These walls work just like fences, in the sense that they’re one and a half block high so you can’t jump over them
These new fences can be quite useful, but mostly very good for design. I’m sure many great builders out there will build magnificent designs using these new blocks. You can create proper stone walls, pillars for ancient temples or just nice stands for some glowstone. Get creative! This mod makes a number of changes to the behavior of fences, walls, and panes. Each option listed is completely optional and can be configured to your liking:
Fences, panes, and walls now interact and “blend” together
Walls have been made seamlessly stack-able
Over thirteen new wall-types added (including wooden wall variants)
Fences and walls no longer connect to blocks unless lined up in groups of two or more (see screenshots)
Plus a number of small options that can be found in the mod’s config.
