Fantastic mod. That's really all I have for this. All around solid. and combine THAT with the bread maker and you will never be hungry again!
Automatic Wheat Farmer automatically plants wheat seeds in nearby empty farmland. Optionally it can also automatically harvest nearby (ripe) wheat.
Enable it by pressing P for Plant menu. If you have seeds in your item bar, when you approach farmland they will be planted. Harvesting only works if planting is enabled (to prevent griefing). You can only harvest when you are set to plant, and have seeds available.
This works in singleplayer and multiplayer. Requires modloader (or ForgeModloader). Install modloader, then put the zip in your .minecraft/mods folder (create the folder if it doesn't exist)
Additional info: speed is deliberately not maxed so as to be more difficult to block. It currently harvests/plants once every 20 ticks, which means the speed is based on your framerate. I may change that, to either be based on time, or configurable (or both) for maximum speed where it works
