With the success of my minimap mod MrMessiah was surprised no one else has tried anything similar, then looked worried and went to great efforts from Zaneris. It will show a big chunk of the area you are at the moment in a small window on the top right of your screen. This way you can see where to go. With "Old North" switch (put up woth M menu), you can choose to have the map display to match North moving sun in Minecraft final (default).
To match how the sun is used to move back in Beta (if you have old maps, and do not like how everything turned 90 degrees). This version is now fixed glitch cave mode (new to area X position changes will temporarily display the overworld instead of cave). Fix for map update only a little at a time. It is designed for those who run single-core processor, but has happened to the multi-core processor when it should not have been.
